Join the Graduate Nurse Residency Program focusing on Renal Transplant at Texas Health Fort Worth. This program provides guided clinical experience, mentorship, and comprehensive onboarding for new graduate RNs, preparing them for complex hospital life with an employment commitment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum
- Engage in a formal mentoring program
- Attend informative debriefing and self-care sessions
- Undergo supportive 360-degree evaluations
- Participate in learning experiences on personally selected home units
- Rotate and cross-train through other departments to expand nursing experience
- Provide complex patient care in a renal transplant environment
Requirements
- ADN (Associates Nursing Degree)
- Current RN licensure (Texas or Compact State)
- Passage of Boards and results verified by noon the Wednesday prior to start date
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
Qualifications
- ADN (Associates Nursing Degree) is required upon hire
- Less than one year experience at the time the residency begins preferred; Graduated within the last 12 months preferred
Nice to Have
- BSN preferred
- Graduated within the last 12 months
- Less than one year experience at the time the residency begins
- Not previously completed a THR nursing residency
