Join the Graduate Nurse Residency Program as a new graduate RN to develop judgment, skills, and confidence in hospital care, specifically within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This comprehensive 15-month program integrates clinical experience, instructor-led curriculum, formal mentoring, and supportive evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the Graduate Nurse Residency program, starting July 2026
- Gain clinical experience on a personally selected home unit, specifically NICU
- Rotate and cross-train through other departments to expand nursing experience
- Commit to a 15-month employment period within the program
- Work full-time, including (3)-12-hour shifts upon residency completion, with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
Requirements
- ADN (Associates Nursing Degree) upon hire
- Current RN licensure (Texas or Compact State)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care
Qualifications
- ADN (Associates Nursing Degree) is required upon hire; BSN preferred
- Less than one year experience at the time the residency begins preferred
Nice to Have
- BSN preferred
- Graduated within the last 12 months
- Less than one year of experience at the time the residency begins
- Have not previously completed a THR nursing residency
