About This Role

Join the Graduate Nurse Residency Program as a new graduate RN to develop judgment, skills, and confidence in hospital care, specifically within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This comprehensive 15-month program integrates clinical experience, instructor-led curriculum, formal mentoring, and supportive evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Graduate Nurse Residency program, starting July 2026
  • Gain clinical experience on a personally selected home unit, specifically NICU
  • Rotate and cross-train through other departments to expand nursing experience
  • Commit to a 15-month employment period within the program
  • Work full-time, including (3)-12-hour shifts upon residency completion, with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts

Requirements

  • ADN (Associates Nursing Degree) upon hire
  • Current RN licensure (Texas or Compact State)
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care

Qualifications

  • ADN (Associates Nursing Degree) is required upon hire; BSN preferred
  • Less than one year experience at the time the residency begins preferred

Nice to Have

  • BSN preferred
  • Graduated within the last 12 months
  • Less than one year of experience at the time the residency begins
  • Have not previously completed a THR nursing residency
