Provide temporary nursing care to patients with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders, practicing under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide temporary practice pending results of the licensing examination for up to 90 days post-graduation
- Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families
- Apply the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice
- Practice under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Application to sit for CT RN license must be completed within 90 calendar days of graduation date
- Licensing obtained within 90 calendar days of graduation date
- Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate patient care
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Minimum Associate degree, Bachelor’s preferred.
