Graduate Nurse - Adult Psych

About This Role

Provide temporary nursing care to patients with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders, practicing under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide temporary practice pending results of the licensing examination for up to 90 days post-graduation
• Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families
• Apply the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice
• Practice under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
• Application to sit for CT RN license must be completed within 90 calendar days of graduation date
• Licensing obtained within 90 calendar days of graduation date
• Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate patient care
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Minimum Associate degree, Bachelor’s preferred.
