Generator Technician

About This Role

The Generator Technician will be the expert their customers count on to keep their power systems running reliably, from routine maintenance to complex troubleshooting and repairs for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities, and homeowners. This role is for a family-run business with over 70 years of experience delivering superior site power solutions across Ohio, Indiana, and the Chicago area.

Responsibilities

• Service customer generators including troubleshooting, repair, Planned Maintenance Services, and start-ups
• Perform maintenance on automatic transfer switches
• Process required paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintain parts inventory on service truck
• Ensure truck care, cleanliness, and upkeep
• Provide professional recommendations to customers for needed repair work

Requirements

• Experience servicing diesel engines
• Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot from wiring schematics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in English

Nice to Have

• Prior generator experience
