General Manager

About This Role

The General Manager oversees the daily operations of a Milk Bar Flagship location, ensuring exceptional guest experience and achieving business goals. This role involves developing team members, maintaining operational standards, and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the guest experience and create personalized moments for customers
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and uphold brand service standards
• Coach and guide the team to provide exceptional customer experience
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop all team members
• Lead staff development, succession planning, and establish performance expectations
• Handle payroll and scheduling, anticipating changes based on needs and seasonality
• Maintain legal compliance with EEO, labor, HR, wage, and food safety laws
• Oversee the profitability of the Bakery and ensure financial targets are met
• Prepare delicious Milk Bar products, prioritizing taste and quality
• Track sales against budget and execute strategies for increasing sales
• Maintain inventory par levels and ensure all items are available in-store and on 3PL
• Comply with DOH regulations and Milk Bar GMP standards for cleaning, food preparation, and hygiene

Requirements

• 2 years managerial/supervisory experience
• Food handler card
• Strong leadership, decision making and multitasking skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, weekends, and holidays
• Self-starter mentality with ability to observe and implement change
• Strong communication skills and ability to solve problems independently
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and remain in a stationary position for shifts
• Regular in-person attendance

Qualifications

• 2 years managerial/supervisory experience

• Managerial/supervisory experience in hospitality or food industry
• Passion for food, sweets and coffee
