General Manager

About This Role

This role involves leading an FBO operation, focusing on business development and ensuring exceptional customer service. The General Manager will be responsible for full profit and loss accountability and inspiring the team to deliver the Million Air brand.

Responsibilities

• Manage full profit and loss responsibilities for the FBO
• Provide strong leadership and support to functional reports
• Improve profitability through operational excellence techniques and continuous process improvement
• Drive business growth and development
• Promote and enforce Million Air standards
• Ensure department managers have necessary resources (staff, technology, training)
• Foster a teamwork-oriented, high-performance, customer-focused culture
• Review and negotiate contracts including hangar leases, city leases, fuel supply, equipment, and vendor agreements
• Prepare FBO budgets, report variances, and ensure performance aligns with company goals
• Develop controls and procedures for business success, legal compliance, and product delivery
• Utilize strong recruiting skills and ensure job certification and clear communication

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven track record of business development and business control management
• Management experience with a nationally or globally recognized brand
• Demonstrated ability to interact with senior level executives
• Ability to exercise independent direction and judgment in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• High integrity and excellent critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with a demonstrated record of achievement
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven track record of business development and business control management. Preference for retired E8-E9 or O4-O6.

• Retired E8-E9 or O4-O6 military background
