This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a dispensary, including staffing, inventory management, compliance, and customer service. The General Manager will lead a team, ensure a positive patient experience, and drive revenue while maintaining compliance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and develop a passionate team focused on medical cannabis and service
- Lead by example in service, dedication, pace, positivity, and energy
- Mentor, motivate, and inspire the team through training and performance reviews
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures for customer service, staff, inventory, cash handling, and compliance
- Identify and develop process improvements for company growth
- Maintain thoughtful store scheduling to drive revenue and control overhead costs
- Perform daily inventory audits and ensure accuracy of sales records
- Develop strong vendor relationships and manage inventory levels
- Ensure accuracy for all front and back-of-house cash handling
- Guide patients and employees with cannabis recommendations, dosing, and consumption methods
- Handle employee or customer concerns, interfacing with regional and other teams
- Maintain thorough understanding of cannabis forms, chemical composition, effects, and quality metrics
- Abide by city and state cannabis regulations at all times
- Manage deliveries, purchase orders, and maintain accurate records
- Maintain neatness, organization, and cleanliness of the entire store
- Attract customers through visual merchandising and display ideas
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience
- Excellent computer and technical skills (web browsers, retail POS systems, credit card terminals)
- High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
- Ability to comfortably perform arithmetic operations and high-volume cash handling
Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred
- Minimum of five years combined dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Experience or study emphasis in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality
