Fuel Center Clerk

About This Role

Assist customers and manage cash transactions at a fuel center, ensuring cleanliness, compliance, and recovery of stock. Resolve customer and business issues while upholding company values.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior and encourage excellent customer service from other associates
• Pump gas for customers
• Complete daily tour and inspection of the fuel center
• Fill out incident and security reports as required
• Clean up fuel spills and complete Fuel Spill Reports
• Recover displays and maintain cleanliness of the fuel center department
• Perform cashier functions and handle cash register operations
• Answer telephones to assist with inquiries
• Comply with all corporate policies and safety guidelines/standards
• Promote and follow company initiatives
• Maintain knowledge of emergency plans, numbers, and procedures
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults

Requirements

• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
