About This Role

Provide exceptional customer service and prepare beverages in a safe and clean environment for a Starbucks within a Fred Meyer store. Collaborate with associates to achieve company goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions about products
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and make suggestions
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork
• Prepare beverage selections to recipe standards and customer requests
• Tender transactions using company best practices
• Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
• Recommend coffee shop items to customers
• Use all coffee shop equipment according to company guidelines
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and review 'sell by' dates
• Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale, and steamer
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to department manager
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and identify unsafe conditions
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks, issues, or illegal activity
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
