About This Role

The Front Office Manager is fully responsible for all aspects of the Front Desk, coordinating hotel activities and resolving guest issues. This role focuses on achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction scores and managing daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the hotel General Manager to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction scores
  • Responsible for satisfaction scores for the front desk operations and addressing deficiencies
  • Train guest service agents on proper front desk procedures
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates for front desk positions
  • Prepare weekly schedules for front office staff
  • Address performance deficiencies and complete performance evaluations for front office staff
  • Oversee and manage the Front Office to ensure efficient operations and impeccable guest care
  • Monitor daily revenue and expenses to minimize loss and maximize profit
  • Lead and coach Front Office staff, creating a motivated and advancing team
  • Ensure guest service agents comply with uniform and name badge standards

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in a related hotel company position
  • Discipline-specific hospitality industry and general hotel department knowledge
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash or credit transactions
  • Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
  • General office equipment and cash register operation knowledge

Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Two to three years in a related hotel company position with supervisory experience
