About This Role

The Front Desk Coordinator greets patients, schedules appointments, answers phones, and manages administrative records. This role is crucial for creating a positive patient experience and ensuring smooth office operations within a clinical practice management setting.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with quality and compassionate care
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and perform patient outreach
  • Obtain and file patient charts and assist patients as needed
  • Maintain daily office operations according to standard procedures and guidelines
  • Contribute to team efforts by smoothly transitioning into daily roles
  • Protect patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality of personal information (HIPAA compliant)
  • Navigate NextGen to access and provide patient information
  • Maintain compliance by contacting patients to confirm appointments
  • Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, collect co-pays, and schedule patient appointments
  • Perform opening and closing procedures for the office as needed
  • Assist in comforting patients and maintaining the reception area

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant medical administrative experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience with medical insurance/verification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Experience with EMR
  • Strong computer knowledge and Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency
