Forklift Operator

About This Role

Operate a forklift to retrieve materials and supplies, ensuring constant production flow and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Plan supply and material requirements by studying production schedule and scheduling deliveries to production area
• Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications, locating and verifying items, securing pallets on truck, and moving to production location
• Maintain inventory in production area by anticipating and tracking usage
• Monitor inventory by reporting discrepancies
• Clear production area by securing and moving finished pallets and empty pallets
• Document actions by logging movement of supplies, materials, and finished goods
• Maintain a safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic and following safety standards
• Keep forklift operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Accomplish warehousing and organization mission by completing related results as needed
