Forklift Operator

About This Role

Operate a forklift to perform daily material handling tasks, including supplying production lines, loading/unloading trucks, and managing materials distribution within a manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform daily inspections
• Fill forklift battery with water on a regular basis
• Adhere to all safety policies, including personal protective equipment use, housekeeping, and hazardous materials
• Interface with all departments concerning the timely distribution of materials to production and movement of materials from production
• Load and unload trucks
• Prepare paperwork timely and accurately, turning it into the shift supervisor at the end of the shift
• Load and put away product safely and efficiently
• Operate forklift safely
• Supply all necessary materials to all running lines for continuous production
• Remove regrinds from production areas as needed
• Remove cardboard and any other materials from production to staging area after a changeover
• Operate Compactor, bailer, shrink wrap machine
• Assist in coverage of breaks

Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
