Forklift Operator

About This Role

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center. This role ensures efficient inventory reconciliation and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments utilizing the WMS, researching discrepancies as needed.
• Load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and prevents damages.
• Complete all assigned duties in a timely manner according to department standards and procedures.
• Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all safety instructions.
• Train new hires on various warehouse functions as required.
• Adhere to attendance and housekeeping policies.
• Operate material handling equipment safely, reporting any damage or maintenance issues immediately.
• Understand organizational quality goals.
• Participate in Hazmat training, including general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training, if required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, or 1 year of relevant experience
• Experience with power industrial equipment (Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance, Dock Stocker)
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Ability to work well with others
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience
• 1 year of relevant experience or 1 year inventory experience

Nice to Have

• Forklift Certification
• 1 year Inventory experience
