Lead crews and perform installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of low voltage projects for commercial industries. Direct and coordinate field activities of cabling and installation projects to meet company policies, procedures, and profit goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead crews and actively participate in installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of low voltage projects
- Direct and coordinate field activities of cabling and installation projects
- Coach, encourage, and train employees to develop their full potential
- Provide clear and concise instructions and information to technicians
- Analyze and resolve work problems and/or assist others in solving work problems
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with local codes
- Establish and maintain a high level of job site performance through effective project management
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are maintained and uniformly enforced
- Ensure all inventory transferred from the warehouse or van is applied to the job
- Attend post-project meetings with the Management Team to evaluate performance and profitability
Requirements
- Proven field experience installing and servicing door access control platforms (Prodatakey, Salto, Milestone Systems, Genea, Mercury-based hardware or similar systems)
- Familiarity with structured cabling (Cat6), camera installation, IP networking, rack mounting, and system termination
- Understanding of compliance with local electrical codes and national low voltage standards
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work with test equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and in documenting all work
- Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs and work on your feet and/or a ladder all day
- Comfortable with working in environments 10 feet above the ground
