Lead and coordinate field activities for low voltage cabling and installation projects across commercial industries in Utah and the Intermountain Region, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate field activities for cabling and installation projects
- Coach, encourage, and train employees to develop their full potential
- Provide clear instructions and information to technicians to accomplish tasks
- Make discretionary decisions on the job to improve quality, efficiency, or profitability
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with local codes and company policies
- Establish and maintain a high level of job site performance through effective project management
- Perform field measurements and ensure tools/equipment are identified, secured, and maintained
- Keep accurate records of incidents/injuries and notify management promptly
- Plan and coordinate tool and equipment needs to ensure availability
- Manage inventory and material requests, ensuring proper handling and tracking
Requirements
- Proven field experience installing and servicing door access control platforms (Prodatakey, Salto, Milestone Systems, Genea, Mercury-based hardware or similar)
- Familiarity with structured cabling (Cat6), camera installation, IP networking, rack mounting, and system termination
- Understanding of compliance with local electrical codes and national low voltage standards
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Dependable transportation and valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs and work on feet/ladders all day
- Comfortable working in environments 10 feet above ground
- Ability to pass legal Background and Drug test
- Possession of or willingness to purchase personal hand tools related to the trade
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Proven field experience installing and servicing door access control platforms.
