Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and established policies, ensuring quality food service is provided to patients, special functions, and the cafeteria. This role involves hot food preparation and proper HACCP procedures.
Responsibilities
- Communicate appropriately and speak respectfully with patients, families, visitors, and caregivers
- Prepare food for patients, special functions, and cafeteria using standardized recipes and specified amounts
- Utilize food and plate presentation as instructed
- Process all foods and operate equipment according to sanitation and safety regulations
- Inventory and utilize perishable and overproduced food items in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean work area and equipment
Requirements
- Food production experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Food production experience is required, 1 year of previous institutional dietary food service preferred.
Nice to Have
- 1 year of previous institutional dietary food service
