Folder Gluer Operator

About This Role

Operate and maintain folder gluer machinery to produce high-quality cartons, ensuring maximum efficiency and adherence to specifications. This role involves leading a machine crew and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Make ready gluer based on carton size and style and complete production run for maximum quality and efficiency
• Lead, give directions, and monitor work of the machine crew and compliance with PPE and safety guidelines
• Review job order to determine specifications and/or special instructions for job and examine approved sample to determine gluing and folding areas
• Set and make adjustments to gluer to achieve specifications
• Perform checks throughout production run to ensure cartons are folding properly and glue application is consistent and accurate
• Assist in the repair and preventative maintenance of gluers
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures and instructions

Requirements

• 3-years' experience operating a gluer or successfully completing a formalized on the job training program or equivalent combination
• Working knowledge of finishing machine (gluer) and mechanical aptitude
• Good basic computer skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good mathematical ability, including understanding of measurement systems and ability to utilize various measuring devices
• Must pass color vision test

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience operating a gluer or successfully completing a formalized on the job training program or equivalent combination.
