The Folder/Gluer Apprentice is responsible for precisely setting up the machine's feed section and supporting the machine operator with various tasks. This role involves cross-training across all functions and tasks related to operating folder/gluer machines, with the expectation that apprentices will advance to become operators.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting up the feed section of the machine in a timely manner
- Ensuring that the sheets placed in the machine are in proper placement
- Maintain overall quality and cleanliness of the machine and work area
- Assist the operator on all aspects as required during training
- Fill in during the absence of the operator
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Overtime is required
