Floral Clerk

About This Role

This role involves assisting customers and creating floral arrangements for a retail grocery store. It requires strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain the floral department's appearance and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Assist and greet customers promptly, providing great service
• Design and create floral arrangements to fill customer orders
• Package orders effectively, safely, and efficiently
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable
• Keep merchandise, supplies, carts, and tools organized and in proper areas
• Maintain clean, safe, and clutter-free floors
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously
• Maintain plants, process flowers, and fill balloons
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and relevant laws

Requirements

• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, and training materials
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and present information professionally
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to merchandise sales
• Ability to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate production equipment
