Financial Analyst

About This Role

Join a talented FP&A team, working directly with operational leadership to enhance profitability, improve staffing efficiency, and identify cost reduction opportunities within hospitals. This role supports contract renegotiations, performs monthly operational reviews, and provides financial analysis for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support for contract renegotiations and repricing for assigned hospitals
• Provide financial history including contribution margin, procedure counts, equipment listings, sales analysis, and staffing estimates
• Complete "first pass" of the financial projection model based on historical information
• Work with key negotiator to develop pricing strategy and forecast financial outcomes
• Perform monthly operational reviews to identify variance drivers compared to budget
• Recommend improvements in pricing, staffing, and material use to drive company-wide financial improvement
• Provide financial analysis support for senior leaders
• Compile business reviews for Operations for presentation to hospital leadership
• Perform ad hoc corporate statistical and financial analysis as required by management
• Perform financial analysis and projections for new business opportunities
• Prepare trend analysis on cash collections and procedure counts from third party billing

Requirements

• 1-2 years of related experience
• Intermediate to advanced ability to operate Excel
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
• Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken word and in writing
• Proficient with a computer and good knowledge and understanding of MS office programs and email

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• One (1) to two (2) years of related experience
