Financial Analyst II

About This Role

This Financial Analyst II position is responsible for monthly capital/expense tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis for an entertainment client. The role includes preparing monthly reporting and budgets, communicating results to department heads, and assisting with ad hoc analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monthly capital/expense tracking, forecasting and, variance analysis
• Prepare monthly reporting, variance analysis, and communicate monthly results to department heads and project owners
• Prepare the monthly close including accruals and journal entries
• Review Capital Expenditure Requests including NPV modeling
• Assist in preparation, review, and consolidation of the annual operating and capital budgets as well as Long Range Planning
• Assist business partners with any ad hoc analysis as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Finance or related field
• Knowledge of accounting (GAAP) and finance principles
• Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide concise and actionable narratives
• Proactive self-starter and phenomenal teammate, ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adapt to changing industry and organizational landscape
• Enjoys researching financial analysis, process improvement, and owning end-to-end processes
• Has a strong sense of urgency and understands that -speed- matters, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Finance or related field

Nice to Have

• Experience in Media/Entertainment or a technology facing role/industry
