Field Service Engineer

About This Role

Provide on-site field technical services for customers, ensuring high-quality support and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing all field service operations within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive to customer locations daily
• Provide product testing, investigation, and repair of devices at customer location
• Perform electromechanical device installation for field-serviceable equipment
• Provide MedNet/LifeShield support, configurations, and drug library installations
• Deliver customer Technical In-Service training
• Register Oracle Service Requests via laptop
• Implement hardware & software device updates via technical field projects
• Provide billable (non-warranty) field repair services
• Maintain inventory of field spare parts and manage test equipment
• Understand wireless connectivity at the configuration level and troubleshoot basic wireless encryption issues

Requirements

• Strong cGMP, process, and product knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with programmable medical devices and software based medical systems
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment
• Must be willing to complete all requirements for 3rd party vendor credentialing
• High level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Must own reliable vehicle with sufficient capacity to transport repair tools and equipment
• Eligible for corporate credit card
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in a technical discipline, or the equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical vocation. Healthcare background preferred
