About This Role

Coordinate with FlightSafety Centers and external customers to provide product delivery support of FlightSafety Training Devices. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain flight simulation equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, check out, operate, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify equipment
  • Responsible for component level troubleshooting and repair
  • Provide guidance and training to internal and external customers
  • Advise and assist in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation
  • Coordinate with site/customer technical interfaces and Simulation Systems Engineering to define specific requirements
  • Coordinate and lead resolution of difficult and nontypical technical issues
  • Responsible for coordination and implementation of modifications, updates and changes
  • Responsible for limited software modifications, updates and changes
  • Provide on-call support as needed

Requirements

  • Associates degree in a technical field and a minimum of two years’ experience in a technical field, or six years with experience in fault isolation, problem correction and equipment modification, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with software structures, languages, and applications associated with the simulators
  • Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Qualifications
