Join a team of professional Field Service Engineers supporting BD Medication Management Solutions (MMS) automated dispensing systems. This role provides remote and on-site technical support for proprietary hardware and software components within hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems within region, exclusive of DHA/DoD facilities
- Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose, service, and resolve issues regarding proprietary hardware and software system components
- Maintain ownership of work orders, escalate issues, and log, track, and document all activity
- Execute a preventive maintenance program and provide limited cross-functional support for Sales and Implementation teams
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems with moderate competency
- Perform efficient field services including installations, in-servicing, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support
- Maintain proper and accurate small parts inventory following approved policies and procedures
- Provide accurate and timely documentation detailing field activity, expenses, and time distribution
- Continue training and self-development to learn products and applications, and advance skillsets
- Maintain company assets (car, tools, and inventories) securely and in working order
- Maintain a working knowledge of corporate and service department procedures and policies
- Work independently and in a team environment, escalating to team leadership for advanced troubleshooting
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or other technical field, OR 3-5 years of related work experience
- 3-5 years of combination Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting both proprietary and standard applications
- 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment
- Good mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time management skills
- Ability to work within defined processes and methodologies with minimal supervision
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards
- Must provide proof of and maintain current immunizations appropriate for customer sites (Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Annual TB/PPD, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, COVID-19)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
- Meet all Department of Defense SkillBridge Eligibility requirements and be approved to participate in the SkillBridge program
- Proven track record of success in military career
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or other technical field
- 3-5 years of related work experience or 3-5 years of combination Hardware/Software/IT experience

- Customer Support Certification
- Prior experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician or in a hospital Bio-Med environment
- Prior military Bio-Med experience
- Prior Automated Teller Machine (ATM) experience
