Experienced Assistant Branch Manager

About This Role

Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including customer service, operational compliance, and regulatory soundness, supporting the Bank Manager and ensuring profitable relationships for TrustBank's Parkside location.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Branch in the absence of the Branch Manager
• Open and close the branch as needed
• Open new accounts and perform account changes/updates
• Handle and follow up on customer questions and support
• Oversee teller line and drive-up area to ensure accurate transactions
• Assist in hiring, training, and coaching branch employees
• Educate associates, customers, and the community about financial wellness and emerging bank technology
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of policies, rules, and regulations
• Ensure employees represent TrustBank's vision and mission and set the tone for culture
• Coach less experienced staff on a regular basis
• Oversee staff scheduling
• Help support lenders by assisting in collecting documents for the loan process
• Participate in community events supporting the bank’s visibility and outreach

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of financial institution assistant management experience or equivalent financial services experience
• Extensive customer contact experience in banking
• Ability to motivate employees in a team environment
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivation
• Basic understanding of debits and credits and strong basic math skills
• Strong overall PC literacy

Qualifications

• Business degree or higher in business or a related field (accounting, finance, business management) is a plus
• Minimum of two years of financial institution assistant management experience or equivalent financial services experience. Job experience with extensive customer contact in banking. Prior supervisory or management experience is a plus.
