Executive Leader, Category Merchant

About This Role

This role is for an Executive Leader, Category Merchant within the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization, focusing on Amazon Connect. The leader will drive the strategy and development of intuitive, differentiated technology solutions leveraging Amazon's expertise to solve business challenges for millions of companies worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to quickly design and deliver systems while maintaining a constant customer focus
• Set strategy and define the product with design, technical, and business leaders
• Drive, track, and report the development effort to leadership and partners
• Define the engagement model and manage internal/external dependencies and relationships
• Deliver distributed systems and analytics to enable AWS to change the software industry
• Innovate on Amazon Connect, a cloud-based contact center service
• Play a crucial role in developing the next generation contact center
• Design and deliver scalable, resilient systems with a customer focus

Requirements

• 1+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 2+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Sound understanding of the fundamentals of communications
• Practical experience building large-scale distributed systems

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical product or program management experience, 2+ years of software development experience, and 3+ years of project management disciplines experience
