This role involves successfully managing a profitable book of new and renewal business for the nationwide E&S Binding Authority Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance division. The Underwriter will prospect for new business, develop relationships with retail agents, and mentor new team members.
Responsibilities
- Successfully create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business
- Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through both traditional and creative marketing strategies
- Remain up to date with new insurance companies' offers and how to leverage them
- Prospect for new business markets and/or lines to write with sales techniques based in trust and relationship building
- Mentor and train new team members
Requirements
- 2-3 years of E&S binding authority experience
- Knowledge of the sales process and pipeline management
