Equipment Operator

About This Role

Operate a portable crushing plant, batching materials and performing daily maintenance while supporting operations across multiple sites. This role requires safety-conscious operation and effective communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Batch aggregates accurately using computer or manual controls according to mix designs
• Perform daily plant maintenance: lubrication, minor adjustments, shoveling, and lifting
• Inspect plant and equipment for operational efficiency and safety compliance
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Identify and report potential operational issues to plant management
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies
• Operate various mobile equipment as needed (preferred: front-end loader, skid steer, all-terrain forklift, haul truck, water truck)

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience operating portable crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment
• Experience in plant maintenance (e.g., screen and liner changes)
• Self-directed with minimal supervision
• Basic computer literacy and math skills
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (standing, stooping, bending, climbing, walking on uneven surfaces)
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Commitment to safety and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Nice to Have

• Ability to operate a front-end loader, skid steer, all-terrain forklift, haul truck, or water truck
• Bilingual communication skills
