Equipment Operator

About This Role

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to load, offload, and transport landscape supplies, ensuring efficient and damage-free handling of materials. This role performs assigned tasks while upholding safety protocols and equipment proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and excavators in a safe and proficient manner
• Clean and maintain equipment as scheduled or required
• Advise branch leadership of maintenance and repair requirements for equipment
• Assist with other duties including receiving materials, inventory, order processing/fulfillment, and general labor tasks

Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds or more
• Capability of working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain)
• Ability to read and write to record daily logs and maintain daily equipment checklists
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and/or excavators, strongly preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience operating equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and/or excavators
• Knowledge of proper safety and maintenance protocols of aforementioned equipment
• Experience in the landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industry
