This role is for an Equipment Operator, Journey 2, performing year-round maintenance of state highways in the Anchorage District, Girdwood maintenance station. The position involves operating heavy equipment for infrastructure maintenance and snow/ice removal to Keep Alaska Moving. This is an Alaska residents only position.
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks associated with year-round maintenance of state highways within the Anchorage District
- Operate and service heavy and light-duty equipment
- Maintain vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, bike paths, and road surfaces within the State Right-of-Way
- Perform traffic control duties
- Perform snow and ice removal with plow/sanders and graders with all attachments
- Utilize various types of heavy equipment to perform maintenance activities
Requirements
- Valid Class A Alaska Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- N-Tanker endorsement required within 90 days of hire
