About This Role

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in a critical illness recovery hospital in Savannah, GA. This role involves performing routine housekeeping tasks in assigned areas to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence in all interactions with patients, family members, visitors and other staff members
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators and lobby areas
  • Responsible for the overall condition of the hospital, including sanitation, order, and appearance
  • Perform light manual work, ensuring that routine housekeeping tasks are being performed according to established schedules and procedures
  • Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings, floors, and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease
  • Use dust cloths and the vacuum cleaner to dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; empty ashtrays and trash buckets; arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion
  • Make beds with clean linen in prescribed manner
  • Scour and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors and similar equipment
  • Replenish supplies of soap, towels and other dispensable items

Requirements

  • Previous Housekeeping experience required

Nice to Have

  • High School degree or equivalent preferred
  • Previous hospital EVS experience preferred
