This Environmental Services Technician role is responsible for maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities by performing comprehensive cleaning duties in the Concord Freestanding ED. The position ensures a clean environment for employees and visitors and contributes to environmental protection.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures
- Sweep, scrub, refinish floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpet
- Re-stock restrooms and replace light bulbs
- Report necessary repairs to maintenance staff
- Remove waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash and sharps containers, and transporting solid/hazardous waste to compactors
- Recycle materials and empty cigarette receptacles
- Keep equipment clean and orderly, reporting failures or mechanical issues
- Maintain a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and infection control guidelines
- Attend all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers
Nice to Have
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- One year experience
