About This Role

Join an award-winning firm as an Environmental Attorney, focusing on either transactional law or litigation. Provide expert legal advice and representation on a broad range of environmental matters including CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of environmental matters, including CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and other state related statutes
  • Lead and manage environmental law litigation, including preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing the organization in court
  • Conduct due diligence for environmental transactions and advise on potential risks and liabilities
  • Develop and implement environmental legal strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental laws and regulations and advise the organization on potential impacts
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
  • Negotiate and draft environmental agreements and contracts
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members on environmental law matters

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • 3-10 years of experience in environmental law, with a focus on environmental transactional law OR environmental law litigation
  • Extensive knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, environmental regulation, and Superfund
  • Proven experience representing organizations in environmental law litigation OR transactional work
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex environmental laws and regulations
  • Admitted to practice law in the state

Qualifications
