About This Role

Maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure as a Data Center Engineering Technician, ensuring seamless operations and contributing to 99.999% uptime for global digital experiences. This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA
  • Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Support change management program through technical writing
  • Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion
  • Provide on-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed
  • Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational
  • Ability to work in physical conditions including regularly lifting up to 39 pounds, participating in group lifts for 40+ pounds, maintaining balance on a ladder, and performing construction tasks
  • Ability to regularly walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb stairs, twist, bend, work above shoulders, grasp, carry, push and pull objects into position
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring provided ear protection

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience; 4+ years of data center engineering experience preferred

Nice to Have

  • 4+ years of data center engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
  • Experience in data center engineering
  • Ability to perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
