This Energy Sales Internship provides hands-on experience by shadowing a Certified Energy Specialist, learning sales and marketing processes for CENEX products, and building customer relationships. It offers valuable insight into the energy industry within a leading global agribusiness.
Responsibilities
- Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist (CES)
- Learn about increasing sales/profitability for the cooperative through implementation of sales, marketing, and consulting processes for CENEX products and cooperative services
- Train on how to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers/potential customers
- Learn about CHS energy programs including our Cenex Brand
- Attend sales calls and in person meetings for commercial business alongside the Certified Energy Specialist (CES)
- Spend time with energy service team in the field to learn what their job entails and gain a better overall understanding of the industry and how the team works together
- Ride along with a propane route driver to learn how their job coordinates with the service team and the Certified Energy Specialist (CES) team
- Spend time with the Energy Manager to see how the overall energy operation is managed to operate safely, productively, and efficiently
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Energy, Ag Business, or other Agriculture related degree program
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
