Energy Sales Intern

About This Role

This Energy Sales Internship provides hands-on experience by shadowing a Certified Energy Specialist, learning sales and marketing processes for CENEX products, and building customer relationships. It offers valuable insight into the energy industry within a leading global agribusiness.

Responsibilities

• Shadow the Certified Energy Specialist (CES)
• Learn about increasing sales/profitability for the cooperative through implementation of sales, marketing, and consulting processes for CENEX products and cooperative services
• Train on how to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers/potential customers
• Learn about CHS energy programs including our Cenex Brand
• Attend sales calls and in person meetings for commercial business alongside the Certified Energy Specialist (CES)
• Spend time with energy service team in the field to learn what their job entails and gain a better overall understanding of the industry and how the team works together
• Ride along with a propane route driver to learn how their job coordinates with the service team and the Certified Energy Specialist (CES) team
• Spend time with the Energy Manager to see how the overall energy operation is managed to operate safely, productively, and efficiently

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Energy, Ag Business, or other Agriculture related degree program
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
