Electronic Security Service Technician

About This Role

Perform routine and emergency service calls for electronic security systems, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment. Also provide high-quality customer support and instruction on system operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency service calls for electronic security systems
• Troubleshoot, replace, and/or repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment
• Provide reliable, high quality customer support
• Provide customer instruction on system operation and functionality
• Perform system testing and signal verification
• Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools)
• Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks
• Ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks
• Provide documentation of service and hours worked
• Complete and submit all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner
• Complete other projects, as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Mastery knowledge of troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access control systems
• Working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes
• Mastery knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures
• Ability to lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs
• Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended time periods

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Vocational Training
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom and access control systems
