About This Role

This role involves providing essential sign language interpretation services to K-12 elementary students, fostering their academic success and engagement within a supportive school environment. The interpreter will ensure clear communication between students, teachers, and staff, facilitating inclusion and meeting individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sign language interpretation services for an elementary caseload (1.1 ratio)
• Ensure clear communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Arrive each day prior to student arrival, fully prepared to assist throughout the school day
• Collaborate with educational teams to facilitate inclusion and meet individual student needs
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to all credentialing and school district requirements

Requirements

• Licensed Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) credential
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher OR RID certification
• Ability to manage a consistent schedule and adapt to student needs

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings
