Driver Associate

About This Role

The Driver Associate is responsible for specialized warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, order pulling, and delivery of products to customers. This role involves operating a company vehicle and ensuring accurate handling of goods.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabricating, and transporting goods.
• Carry heavy merchandise up and down stairs using body straps and/or furniture dolly for items 50-300 pounds.
• Check items against purchase orders and packing slips, reporting shortages, damages, and other discrepancies.
• File orders for delivery and place supplies and equipment in proper storage.
• Operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Drive company vehicles, on occasion, to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations, serving as an emergency driver when needed for backup (Non-CDL).
• Perform required inspection of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy material or equipment (50+ pounds)
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility

• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents
