About This Role

The Domain Architect provides architectural vision to align IT with strategic business needs, establishing technical direction and defining enterprise-level strategies to ensure best practices are adhered to in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural vision to appropriately align IT to strategic business needs and goals
  • Apply knowledge of business operations, strategies, priorities and information requirements to establish the technical direction and an enterprise view
  • Define enterprise level strategies and technical direction
  • Define the system, technical, and application architectures
  • Ensure best practices are adhered to
  • Research, evaluate, and select from existing and emerging technologies that best fit business and IT strategic needs
  • Manage multi-project management accountabilities in developing solutions in a collaborative environment
  • Oversee the design and delivery for new or improved enterprise-wide technologies that are used across multiple areas of the business
  • Architect solutions across multiple hardware/software computing environments and system components
  • Plan and implement process re-engineering or process improvement

Requirements

  • Proven experience in healthcare or public sector environments, particularly in administration, personnel and labor relations, or financial operations
  • Strong background in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of large-scale enterprise systems
  • Hands-on development experience with object-oriented programming languages
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, with demonstrated experience working in Agile or Scrum-based development teams

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Health or Medical Services Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related functional discipline is preferred
