District Court Staff Attorney

About This Role

This is a career law clerk position for a lawyer with strong legal research and writing skills, tasked with understanding and applying legal principles in a court setting. The role requires discretion, confidentiality, impartiality, and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply legal principles, statutes, case law, and rules of procedure
• Identify legal issues
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Work well with others
• Exercise discretion, confidentiality, impartiality, and honesty in handling all matters before the Court

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited law school
• Two years practicing law or legal experience
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills
• Ability to understand and apply legal principles, statutes, case law, and rules of procedure
• Ability to identify legal issues
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, impartiality, and honesty

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school
• Two years practicing law or legal experience
