Manage and evaluate the sales performance of an assigned district, overseeing a team of Territory Account Managers. Represent Johnson & Johnson MedTech by maintaining relationships with major accounts and driving the recruitment and development of sales representatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate sales performance of products/programs within the assigned district/geographical area
- Supervise the sales force, ensuring proper support levels with customers and organizations
- Represent the organization by maintaining contact with major accounts/channels, applying broad knowledge of products, services, and marketing techniques
- Foster a motivating team environment focused on success, development, and accountability
- Supervise, evaluate, and develop Territory Account Managers, providing advice, coaching, and performance management
- Coach and develop Territory Account Managers on delivering competitive clinical and financial messages tailored to customer needs
- Prepare and review regular sales reports reflecting district activities, translating them into meaningful team direction
- Participate in determining district market potential and preparing district sales expense estimates
- Engage and influence major accounts and channels in the assigned district
- Participate in and drive recruitment, selection, training, and development of sales representatives
- Lead Territory Account Managers on new product rollouts, initiatives, resource allocation, and budget management
- Manage complexity, translate into action, and collaborate across field sales and Home Office functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 8 years of professional sales experience
- J&J Management Development Program (MDP) enrollment/completion or 2 years of people-leadership experience
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, business acumen, managing conflict, written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel as needed (overnight/weekend)
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional sales experience is required, with 2 years of prior people-leadership experience or successful completion of J&J Management Development Program.
