About This Role

Serve as a strategic leader in drug product protein formulations, driving the portfolio across multiple modalities with a focus on innovation and speed, while coaching and mentoring scientists.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic leader in drug product protein formulations
• Deliver on the portfolio working across multiple modalities, including conjugates and multi-specifics, with focus on innovation, resourcing, and speed
• Build scientific talent by coaching and mentoring scientists on scientific literature, program risks, communication, critical issues, and opportunities
• Work within CMC teams and with cross-functional partners including J&J Innovative Medicine Supply Chain and Discovery as needed

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with proteins and protein formulations
• Knowledge of the current state of literature
• Ability to address challenges by experimental design and execution
• Experience with authoring regulatory submissions and responding to health authority questions
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proven conflict management and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to make data-driven decisions in a timely manner
• Capacity to serve as a coach and mentor

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering or related field
• At least 10 years of experience with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering or related field

Nice to Have

• Publications, presentations, and/or conference attendance to demonstrate experience with proteins and protein formulations
• Focus on innovation and new technologies
• Experience authoring and submitting BLA's
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt effectively to a constantly evolving organizational issues, structures and dynamics
• Ability to influence and lead
