Maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen areas in an orderly and sanitary condition, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or using a dishwashing machine
- Wash pots, pans, and trays, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Polish silver using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth
- Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to standards
- Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers, steam clean or hose out garbage cans
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Help load and unload supplies and product
