This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of brand pricing strategies for the neuroscience portfolio at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, focusing on maximizing value and ensuring patient access. The Director will drive alignment across various stakeholders and develop innovative pricing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement brand pricing strategies for the neuroscience portfolio.
- Interact with Senior Brand Leaders, SCG Leadership Team, Legal, HCC, and Finance to establish and implement pricing and contracting strategies.
- Serve as brand pricing lead, synthesizing customer, industry, and competitive insights to guide channel and franchise pricing strategies.
- Ensure awareness of price as a key component of the marketing mix at gross and net levels.
- Lead CPC (Contracting and Pricing Committee) discussions regarding pricing strategies with key stakeholders.
- Develop contract strategy dashboards tracking pricing strategies and business impact.
- Proactively conduct competitive analysis, evaluate the changing marketplace, and make recommendations on pricing strategies to Senior Management.
- Develop product value offerings to capitalize on product efficacy and other competitive attributes.
- Understand and articulate the impact of price changes on Gross to Net sales and patient out-of-pocket spend.
- Act as a pricing strategy lead on customer contract negotiations and discussions.
- Lead direct/indirect reports and develop them for future positions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing or other critical thinking major
- 10+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Solid knowledge of US payers, GPOs, US reimbursement and access landscape, price regulations/reporting, and state reporting requirements
- Ability to lead/influence others collaboratively
- Ability to influence large/diverse teams without direct authority
- Ability to develop internal/external collaborations and build positive, constructive relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing or other critical thinking major
- 10 or more years of work experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
Nice to Have
- Advanced business degree (MBA) or CPA
- Emphasis in finance, market access, marketing or strategic/product functions
- Experience in pricing or contracting or account management
- Strong understanding of reimbursement/payment models and customer structures
- Strong financial or marketing background
- Prior experience managing people
