This Director of Operations will spearhead the operational infrastructure for a $50BN private credit fund, overseeing core fund operations, client onboarding, prime brokerage relationships, and treasury functions. The role involves leading complex CLO launches, wind-downs, and restructurings, partnering with investment, legal, compliance, finance, and external service providers.
Responsibilities
- Own the full client onboarding lifecycle, including coordination with legal, compliance, fund admin, and custody
- Maintain strong relationships with fund administrators, custodians, and transfer agents
- Oversee daily operations across private credit and CLO vehicles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls
- Manage relationships with prime brokers, lenders, and trading counterparties
- Lead operational setup, launch, and ongoing support of new credit strategies and CLO vehicles
- Manage operational aspects of CLO resets, refinancings, liquidations, and full wind-downs
- Serve as senior escalation point for complex operational issues across funds and structures
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash forecasting, liquidity management, and funding for investments
- Manage bank relationships, account structures, and payment controls
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and operational governance
- Lead, mentor, and develop operations team members
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in credit, private credit, CLO, or alternative investment operations
- Deep hands-on experience with CLO launches, refinancings, resets, and wind-downs
- Strong knowledge of client onboarding, fund operations, prime brokerage, and treasury functions
- Experience working with fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers, and trustees
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex cross-functional projects
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification a plus
- 10+ years of experience in credit, private credit, CLO, or alternative investment operations.
