Director Night Warehouse

About This Role

Lead night warehouse operations, focusing on safety, service, and cost efficiency. Oversee the selection and loading of outbound products and guarantee facility security.

Responsibilities

• Achieve all safety, service, and cost targets in the department and oversee night warehouse operations
• Plan and oversee execution of short/mid-term department objectives and participate in strategic planning
• Lead with a safety mindset, championing procedures, processes, and training to maintain a safety-first culture
• Develop Warehouse Managers through coaching, training, and problem resolution
• Oversee and develop all on-floor warehouse associates by discussing performance and creating improvement plans
• Attract talent and build high-performing teams, monitoring hiring and interviewing processes
• Plan and implement technology to improve execution, productivity, and quality
• Direct development of production flow processes and identify process improvement and cost reduction strategies
• Monitor operational data, identify problems, determine causes, and recommend changes to achieve zero-error benchmarks
• Monitor integrity of products and ensure food safety standards are met, establishing and following MSS and FSQA requirements
• Oversee the maintenance of the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment in compliance with OSHA requirements
• Assist HR and VP Operations in interpreting collective bargaining agreements and administering discipline in union facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of experience in warehouse management
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
• Ability to openly and effectively communicate with all associates/departments
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in warehouse management
