Lead the development and maintenance of firm-wide compliance programs, procedures, and controls for KPMG, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices. Establish governance structures and monitor legislative changes to keep policies updated.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of firm-wide policies, procedures, controls, and standards for effective compliance programs
- Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices
- Assist in establishing governance structures to enable consistent implementation and oversight of compliance activities
- Ensure effective monitoring of changes in legislation, regulations and industry and professional standards
- Collaborate with business functions to conduct assessments of compliance programs
- Execute monitoring plans to ensure ongoing compliance with internal standards and external regulations
- Participate in regular reviews of the ethics and compliance program, identifying gaps or areas for improvement
- Support the CECO's reporting to management and the board of directors regarding the effectiveness of KPMG's E&C program
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of recent experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or related fields
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise-wide compliance programs and governance frameworks
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management principles, and compliance monitoring methodologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights to management
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship
Qualifications
- Master's degree, Juris Doctor or Advanced degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum ten years of recent experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or related fields
