This role manages the delivery of AI-related technology products and releases, aligning strategic AI/ML model objectives with firm priorities. The Associate Director maintains AI model roadmaps, governs lifecycle processes, and ensures prioritization based on business outcomes within KPMG's Digital Nexus Technology organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall delivery of AI-related technology products and releases utilizing agile and other product management methodologies; set tactical plans that align strategic AI/ML model objectives with firm priorities
- Maintain AI model roadmaps, lifecycle processes, governance controls, and feature backlogs, ensuring prioritization based on business outcomes; monitor risks, issues, model performance, regulatory impacts, and overall platform health
- Operate as a key advisor to clients and proactively initiate ideas to improve client centricity; drive and manage shared assignments and large-scale programs, including model-enabling services such as ingestion pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks, and production model operations
- Provide leadership and direction to remove obstacles and ensure teams have tools and guidance to execute on programs and products; collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams to ensure models meet release-readiness requirements, including testing, validation, and responsible AI criteria
- Enable optimized governance and integrated management of cost, schedule, and effort ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-value realization; prepare and present executive-level status updates to sponsors and leadership teams
- Interact regularly with delivery partners and department leaders; contribute to departmental strategy and priorities
- Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in advanced program or product management, including planning and executing large-scale products and programs
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience managing multi-phase, multi-track projects spanning nine to twenty-four months
- Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), infrastructure deployment, IT transformation, and industry best practices
- Ability to make high-complexity decisions autonomously
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Ability to motivate teams and drive execution of strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in advanced program or product management, including planning and executing large-scale products and programs; experience with AI/ML model lifecycle management or model-driven platforms is preferred
