About This Role

As Director of Brand Marketing, Makeup, you will develop strategies to drive retailer preference for the makeup category and lead high-impact brand partnerships for Sephora. You will create innovative marketing programs that elevate brands and delight clients, impacting the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional development of annual category strategy, managing co-op planning across all Sephora programs
  • Partner with priority brands to build full 360-degree marketing plans leveraging retail channels and sampling programs
  • Spearhead high-profile initiatives including Sephora's 15% Pledge and BIPOC brand support
  • Develop innovative partnership models for Next Big Thing and Incubation brands
  • Collaborate with merchandising to develop sub-class and brand strategies and create unique marketing programs
  • Oversee category sampling forecast and program development, partnering with operations teams
  • Manage team workload to provide best-in-class partnerships and develop impactful launch campaigns
  • Develop career paths and training plans for team members, fostering their growth as marketing leaders
  • Partner with Senior Director on annual planning, webinar planning, and overall brand development
  • Lead day-to-day category initiatives related to co-op, sampling, brand participation, reporting, and hindsighting

Requirements

  • 10+ years of brand management/marketing experience in consumer-facing business, digital content publisher, or agency
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Honed presentation skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Creative self-starter with positive attitude
  • Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Deep passion for Sephora and the beauty industry

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related experience in brand management/marketing in a consumer-facing business, digital content publisher, or digital agency
